Remodeling

Every project begins with an idea and that idea usually comes from the client. It would be great to say that we are always so creative that we can give solutions without input. Interior design teaches you to ask questions so that you can get into the client’s head. The client is living with the problem every day. Many times, they have the solution. They just don’t know it.

Each remodeling project starts by talking and measuring and photo recording. I might ask for pictures of projects that they like. Because of constraints – budgets or space – we can adapt that picture or that thought into something they can embrace. Then it is back to the drawing board. We use AutoCad so we can put the solution on paper. When a plan is reached, we then begin our estimation process.

Our contracts are extremely detailed. This gives the client the knowledge they need to make an informed decision. It also protects everyone from any misunderstanding during the course of the job.

Several of our projects have involved architects or other designers. We are happy to work with their plans and even add input when needed to accomplish the goal of meeting the budget and time schedule.
