Project Description
These clients were so happy with the first basement upfit and bar that we had done for them in 2002 that when they relocated to Ballantyne, they asked us to design and construct a new bar and finish their floors with a same design pattern they had in their other home. The cabinets used are kitchen cabinets with a twist. We used lots of glass and mirrored the backsplash. What you don’t see behind the bar are locking glass fronted shelves. We completed the bar look by adding a brushed nickel foot rest.In the kitchen, the client wanted to relocate her cooking and oven center to one wall. To preserve the granite and backsplash, we carefully cut a 36” piece of granite from the center on the desired wall. In this area we inserted a 36” Jenn-Aire range. We removed the “guts” from the side cabinets and inserted a second oven and a wine refrigerator. The original oven cabinet was replaced by a full pantry from the same kitchen line.
