Just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with the results of the bathrooms. As you know, I have done extensive remodeling to my home. This was by far the easiest project to date. It was such a pleasure being able to keep my schedule, go to work, and come home to ongoing progress. I so appreciated your constant communications via email and phone. Loved knowing exactly what was going to be done and who would be in my home. I also must thank you for your attention to details. Bernie the additional deco tile was the right call and really made a beautiful finish. And John, thank you for having the same standards I do as the customer. Guys, you are excellent. I will be spreading the word.

When my wife said she had found the "perfect" person to help us remodel our
Charlotte, N.C. retirement condo, I had the same feeling most people get when
they hear the words, "best deal ever."
Thankfully, since working with Berni and John, I really feel they are the best
deal ever. My wife can't say enough about what a pleasure Berni is to work
with, and I long ago stopped wondering how John manages to clean up all the
messes I make trying to be the ultimate remodeler.
My only regret in working with Berni and company is that they live and work
mostly in the Charlotte area and the rest of the property we own is in
Northern Virginia.
If you want honest input into whatever your design dreams are, realistic
assessment of what your financial outlay will be and an end product you are
happy with - and a wife who feels she was listened to - I heartily recommend
Berni for design and implementation of your dreams.

This was our 4th job with Berni Platko of Platko Enterprises and our most ambitious. We wanted to have our 100-year-old home in Dilworth completely gutted and remodeled. We only had 6 months in a rental home, so we had to be sure our timeline was on target—and, we moved back in 5 ½ months after the job started. Overall, we had a great experience. Berni was up-front with issues, anticipated many of our cost increases (either due to engineering issues or product choices of our own), and communicated with us daily. We felt very involved in the day-to-day aspects of the project, so there were very few crises or surprises. Our home is now exactly how we imagined it would be, and those who visit us are struck by its beauty and the incredible details that make it still feel very historic. We always recommend Berni to others, though we do preface it by saying that remodeling is not for the faint of heart. You must anticipate cost increases, structural issues, product delays, etc…. But, if you get a good contractor that you are willing to really partner with, the end result will be worth it. Our home is so stunning, we’ve been asked to show it on the Dilworth Home Tour in the next few years. What a compliment!

Bill and I would like to thank you for the excellent job you did in enclosing the sun porch of our new home. It is now a useful comfortable and enjoyable space.
More importantly, we thank you for being available during the selling of our old house this past year. We never worried about the inspections as we knew you could repair any problem that they might find - you did so at reasonable cost and time!
The house is now sold and we are happily ensconced in our new abode. We now describe PLATKO as follows: prompt, listens, ability, timely, knowledgeable and organized.

Thank you so much for EVERYTHING. It has been such a blessing working with you. You have been great to work with and so accommodating - with our house sitter and doggie patrol and sending pics for us to look at. I can not tell you how much we appreciate it. It was so cool having the pics to show my whole family here at the beach!!! I can't think many contractors go to that length!

The Platko team did a beautiful job with our kitchen renovation from start to finish and we are so pleased with our screened porch and new front entryway additions. Berni is very knowledgeable, with great ideas to enhance what we wanted to achieve. They walked us through the entire process from paint, to flooring, tile, granite and appliances. Their crews were a joy to work with - they always left our home in a clean state at the end of the day and finished our projects on time and within our budget. We had considered moving - with Platko's attention to detail and fine craftsmanship we feel like we're in a new home. We have received so many compliments from our neighbors, they're just amazed at the transformation. My wife and I look around and say how happy we are with what we did with the help of Platko. The major renovation project of our kitchen and family room was accomplished in record time by Platko Enterprises. There is no doubt that the value of our home has increased with all of the improvements. We couldn't be more satisfied!
Last summer, Berni helped me with window treatments. Her talent in picking out fabric and the design made the job very easy for me.
